A student of undergraduate professional study programme acquires all relevant skills and knowledge relevant to professional work in all public political institutions as well as in private and public companies and institutions, ministries, diplomatic representative bodies and international organisations – both in Croatia and abroad. A student can continue a graduate study programme of international relations and diplomacy at the Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy and thus gain the professional title of Specialist.
Specialist graduate professional study
A Specialist of international relations and diplomacy is trained and qualified for work in all scientific institutes in the area of social studies and humanities, state and private institutions for analytic monitoring of international relations and diplomacy, for analysis of single foreign policies and their influence on international political and economic position of contemporary states at all levels, for work at ministries, diplomatic representative bodies, international institutions, foundations and so forth, both in Croatia and abroad.
The acquired competencies allow graduates to do a wide range of jobs and there are a lot of employment options for the graduates of the University College of International Relations and Diplomacy. One can work in government administration (especially at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, at the Ministry of Defence, or for security services), international organisations, international institutions, private and public media companies, corporations, associations, political parties, foundations home and abroad. There are a number of jobs that can be done with these qualifications: diplomat, manager, supervisor, organiser, consultant, foreign affairs analyst, to name but a few.
